In Zusammenarbeit mit: Rolf D.Krause, Birte Lönneker (bis 6/2009), Stefanie Thiedig (bis 5/2006), Lisa Stremlau ( 5/2006-5/2007), Evelyn Gius (6/2009-12/2009). Gefördert durch die DFG. Dieses Projekt beschäftigte sich mit Möglichkeiten der Nutzung informatikbasierter Modelle und rechnergestützter Verfahren für die Analyse und Modellierung narrativer Funktionen. Dabei wurde die narratologische Relevanz der Theorien und Modelle und deren Implementierung in Programmen zur Erzeugung von Erzählungen – sog. “Story Generators” – untersucht. Durch eine Abbildung von narratologischen und KI-Herangehensweisen aufeinander konnten deren jeweilige Stärken und Schwächen analysiert und Forschungsdesiderata formuliert werden. Ein wesentliches Projektziel war, ein vom narratologischen Standpunkt aus “ideales” Modell kreativer Generierung von Erzählungen zu definieren, wobei Implementierungsaspekte zwar nicht im Vordergrund standen, aber dennoch nicht außer Acht gelassen werden sollten. Dieses Modell haben wir u.a. in dem Aufsatz “Story Generators: Modells and Approaches for the Generation of Literary Artefacts” 1) vorgestellt und diskutiert: Das Projekt Story-Generator-Algorithmen war ein Teilprojekt der von der DFG und der Universität Hamburg finanzierten Forschergruppe Narratologie Hamburg.
